Grading assignments in The Holler Learning Management System (LMS) is easy. If you’re an instructor, log into learn.theholler.org and navigate to your course. In the course menu, click the ADMIN link.
You will now have the option to click on the SUBMISSIONS tab. This will bring up all submission for the course thus far. Now, you can click the ASSIGNMENT SUBMISSIONS tab.
You will find a drop-down menu that shows you all assignments associated with the course. Select the one you would like to grade and click the GET button.
You will now see a list of students who have submitted the assignment you’ve selected. You will see two choices next to their names – one will reset the assignment so the student can try it again. This is helpful if they submitted without attaching an image or typing anything in, or if they completed the assignment wrong and you would like to have them try again. You will also see a clipboard with a checkmark – clicking this link will allow you to grade the assignment.
The grading-page will show you the full assignment instructions – incase you need a reminder before grading, and under the SUBMISSION text you’ll find the students work. This can be text, images or a combination of the two. You may fill in the score for the assignment, leave a text-based message or attach photos and documents for the student to review.
Once you’ve typed in the grade and clicked the GIVE MARKS button, the text will change to MARKS SAVED. If you do not see MARKS SAVED, the grade was not recorded.
